Get to know Dermatologist Dr. Michael A. Del Torto, who serves the population of Maryland. Dr. Del Torto completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he graduated with honors and was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. He then graduated with his Medical Degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1995, giving him over two decades of experience in his field. After obtaining his medical degree, he then completed dual residencies in internal medicine and dermatology at the Washington Hospital Center. Wanting to further his training, he also completed a melanoma fellowship at the Washington Hospital Center where he was the study coordinator for cutting-edge research in the diagnosis and treatment of melanoma and other skin cancers. Dr. Del Torto is certified by the American Board of Dermatology. To stay up to date in his field, he remains a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Additionally, he has written two textbook chapters on rare dermatological diseases that were published in the NORD Guide to Rare Disorders. Dr. Del Torto currently practices at Easton Dermatology Associates and is affiliated with Shore Health System, Inc. where he holds an expertise in skin cancer screening and surgery, acne, psoriasis, and cosmetic dermatology. Dermatology is the branch of medicine dealing with diseases of the skin, hair and nails. It is a specialty with both medical and surgical aspects.
