Dr. Osik a naturopathic physician and acupuncturist practicing at her private practice, Naturopathic Medical Care Clinic, in Danbury, Connecticut. As a registered nurse (ret.), she also has training in conventional medicine and experience in naturopathic medicine.

She is highly dedicated to complementary and naturopathic medicine, blending the conventional and naturopathic medicines together. She uses a variety of proven methods and therapies in order to heal her patients, including corrective clinical nutrition, supplementation, functional medicine, hormone & specialty testing, botanical medicine, Chinese herbs, acupuncture/auriculotherapy, physical medicine, homeopathy, bioidentical hormone replacement, as well as deep breathing techniques and meditation.

These proven techniques have helped patients with a wide range of health issues, including cardiovascular disease, women’s health & hormone issues, digestive problems (GI/SIBO), respiratory problems, menopause / PMS, diabetes support, food allergies & food sensitivities, weight loss / weight management, arthritis, anxiety / depression, musculoskeletal issues, ADD/ADHD, and cancer support using specialized supplements specific to the cancer.

“I am interested in the role that environmental toxins play in the development of cancer and how we need to limit our exposure to them. It is so important to inform and educate people of the dangers of hazardous chemicals and plastics present in our everyday environment. BSP-A and other plastics are known hormone disruptors linked to the development of breast and prostate cancer” expressed the doctor.

At the start of her academic career, Dr. Osik graduated from NCNM in Portland, Oregon in 1987. She also attended the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine where she was trained in acupuncture and chinese herbs. After graduation, she practiced in Southbury for five years and then maintained a home office practice in Danbury.

Thereafter, she opened a practice in Middlebury with two other ND’s and continued to see patients in Middlebury as well as in Danbury for the next 10 years. Her current office is nestled in a beautiful tree-filled setting with a relaxing pond and waterfall complete with water lilies and sometimes a frog or two. 

The practice of naturopathic medicine includes modern and traditional, scientific, and empirical methods. Naturopathic medicine is a distinct primary health care profession, emphasizing prevention, treatment, and optimal health through the use of therapeutic methods and substances that encourage individuals’ inherent self-healing process. Naturopathic physicians diagnose, prevent, and treat acute and chronic illnesses to restore and establish optimal health.
