Get to know Nephrologist Dr. Vinny Anand, who serves patients in Hudson, New York.

Dr. Anand, a board-certified and fellowship-trained nephrologist, can be found on staff at Columbia Memorial Health – Twin County Nephrology in Hudson, New York.

Framed by the Greene Medical Arts campus in Catskill and the Hospital campus in Hudson, Columbia Memorial Health is home to more than 40 primary and specialty care centers in Columbia, Greene, and Dutchess counties. Its mission is to provide its communities with safe, high-quality, comprehensive health care services in a dignified and compassionate environment. The Twin County Nephrology offers a full range of kidney care options and has offices in Catskill & Hudson.

After earning his medical degree from Grant Medical College in India, Dr. Anand relocated to the United States to further his training. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn in New York, followed by his fellowship in nephrology at the Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla. 

Following his training, the doctor became board-certified in both nephrology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Nephrology is a specialty of medicine that concerns diseases related to the kidneys. It is the study of normal kidney function and kidney diseases, the preservation of kidney health, and the treatment of kidney disease, from diet and medication to renal replacement therapy. Nephrologists have advanced training in treating kidney diseases. They diagnose and treat kidney failure, manage hypertension and electrolyte imbalance as well as help patients by prescribing medications, offering special diet advice, and coordinating dialysis care when the time comes.
