    Great question. Avoid anything too hard, crunchy, and sticky for 24 hours past the cementation date. Afterward, anything that might break your natural teeth such as ice or opening beer bottles.     That's a great question no matter what your age. They are equally important! We have a saying, "Floss the teeth you want to keep." It's important to lower your risk of decay in-between your teeth and to keep the gum healthy. Brushing properly also reduces your risk of decay and gum disease.     Great question. No they can not. Teeth can be harmed while wearing braces but they do not directly harm the teeth. The harm comes in the form of eating what you should or not caring for your teeth during the treatment, as in brushing and flossing.     Great question. Wearing dentures does not mean you'll have bad breath. There are many reasons for Halitosis. Improper care for your dentures and mouth could be one of them. Be sure to take your dentures out at night, clean them with a mild liquid dish soap. A toothpaste can put scratches in them and food and debris stick to these scratches and yuck. Brush your gums with a soft brush and use a non-alcoholic mouthwash. Dentures are not maintenance free. Oh, and never soak a dirty denture. I hope this helps and if you're already doing these things it could be something else. See your dentist regularly and have dentures refitted if you're using any denture adhesives and get a new denture every 5-7 years. READ MORE
