An experienced psychiatrist, Dr. Gotlib is in private practice in Ann Arbor, Michigan. For over forty years, he has worked extensively with adults, adolescents, couples and families with depression, anxiety, problematic interactions, and other psychiatric disorders. 

Taking time to talk, he specializes in treating anxiety, depression, and other emotional problems, including previous treatment impasses. He uses an integrated approach using supportive, uncovering, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and other treatment modalities customized to each patient, including medication treatment when indicated. He also personally provides counseling, psychotherapy, and medication management. 

Educated in the United States, Dr. Gotlib graduated with his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. His psychiatric training includes a  residency in adult psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Michigan.

Advancing his efforts, he participates in continuing medical education (CME) programs for physicians on mental health and related wellness topics. He is currently doing tele-health on an outpatient basis exclusively.

Board-certified, Dr. Gotlib is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology. 

Maintaining membership status, he is an active member of the Michigan State Medical Society, the American Medical Association, and the Coalition Protecting Auto No Fault.
