Get to know Endodontist Dr. Miguel Martinez, who serves patients in Texas.
A skilful endodontist, Dr. Martinez has been working at Essential Endodontics in Fort Worth, Texas since June of 2020. He is a specialist dentist, focusing on tooth pain, root canals, and other issues related to the interior part of the tooth.
The mission of Essential Endodontics is “to provide the highest level of endodontic treatment to every patient we have the privilege to care for while maintaining excellent customer service and support to the professional offices with which we collaborate.”
Dr. Martinez is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico School of Dentistry where he received his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry degree.
Upon graduation, he entered military service as a general dentist at Fort Benning, Georgia. He then went on to serve in a Field Dental Unit in Fort Bragg, North Carolina and was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2006 until 2007. Upon returning from deployment, he was accepted into the U.S. Army Endodontic Residency Program in Fort Bragg where he earned his Endodontic Certificate.
Subsequently, Dr. Martinez moved to Fort Bliss, Texas to serve as the Chief of Endodontics. After 4 military moves and 9 years of Army service, he was ready to call Texas home and be part of this wonderful state.
Endodontics is the dental specialty concerned with the study and treatment of the infected and inflamed dental pulp. Along with two to three years of advanced training beyond dental school, endodontists have incredible precision and hand-eye coordination, making them highly skilled in performing complex treatments. They use the most specialized and advanced technology to treat tooth pain and perform root canal treatments. No one is better at saving your natural teeth!
Happily married, Dr. Martinez and his wife, Ashley, have two beautiful twin sons, Sebastian and Giulianno. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially attending his son’s baseball games.
