He completed an additional year of training in a program of Advanced Education in General Dentistry, and then continued his specialty training at the University of Florida. During his six-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery, he also graduated with his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 2003.

A Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, he is a member of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Florida Dental Association, the Central Florida District Dental Association, and the Dental Society of Greater Orlando.
