A 1992 graduate of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, Dr. Mikaelian went on to perform his residency in orthopedic surgery at Stanford Medical Center in 1997.

Subsequent to his education, he attained board certification in orthopedic surgery through the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons. 

With over three decades of experience, Dr. Mikaelian is affiliated with Sequoia Hospital, Northridge Hospital Medical Center, Dameron Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Medical Center.
