Get to know Otolaryngologist Dr. Kimberly M. Pasquale, who serves patients in Chesapeake, Virginia. Dr. Pasquale is board-certified in Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (AAOA). The AAOA represents over 2,700 board-certified otolaryngologists and health care providers. Members devote part of their practice to the diagnosis and treatment of allergic disease and the academy actively supports its membership through education, research, and advocacy in the care of allergic patients. Dr. Pasquale is currently practicing as an Otolaryngologist with Eastern Virginia Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists, serving patients at their Chesapeake and Habour view offices. Eastern Virginia Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists is a full-service Ear, Nose, & Throat (ENT) practice offering medical and surgical care of ear, nose, and throat problems, as well as complete allergy, audiology, and hearing aids services. Dr. Pasquale is also affiliated with Chesapeake General Hospital. Dr. Pasquale received her Undergraduate Degree at Indiana State University, her Master’s of Medical Science at Emory University, as well as her Medical Degree at the Medical College of Georgia. She then went on to receive her training at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, where she specialized in head and neck surgery. Wanting to further her education, she completed her specialty in Laryngology at the University of Washington in Seattle. Beyond its focus on the respiratory system, otolaryngology includes the larynx, sinuses, and the structures of the face and neck. An otolaryngologist, often called an ENT doctor, specializes in the treatment of the ears, mouth, throat and nose. There are seven areas of expertise that an otolaryngologist might specialize in and these are: allergies; facial reconstructive surgery; head and neck; laryngology; otology/neurotology; pediatric otolaryngology; and rhinology. Having over 23 years of experience in her field, Dr. Pasquale offers medical and surgical care for patients suffering from complications, diseases, and disorders of the head and neck – including the ears, nose and throat. Furthermore, she may treat a variety of disorders that affect upper-airway breathing, speech, swallowing, balance, and hearing – among other functions.
