As an avid CrossFit athlete for ten years, Dr. Profera is passionate about the role of exercise, healthy eating, stress reduction and adequate sleep for peak physical performance, overall wellness and anti-aging. Originally from New York, Dr. Profera received both a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and an MD from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1989, giving her over three decades of experience in her field. After completing her pediatrics residency at the University of Michigan, she worked as a primary care pediatrician in Ann Arbor for twenty-three years. In addition to CrossFit, she enjoys Bikram Yoga, dressage horseback riding, travel, cooking and creating marble mosaics.
