Dr. Rogers completed her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University. Furthering her education she then graduated with her Medical Degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in 1981, giving her over three decades of experience in her field. After obtaining her medical degree she completed her Pediatrics internship and residency with the University of Texas Medical Branch. Wanting to further her training she then completed her Ambulatory Pediatrics fellowship with the University of Texas Medical Branch.

Patricia A. Rogers, MD, FAAP, attended the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, TN, and received his medical degree in 1981. Then, she served her internship and her pediatric residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch - Galveston (1981-1984). In addition, he completed his fellowship training in ambulatory pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX (1984-1985), where she served as Chief Resident. In addition, Dr. Rogers received board certification in pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics. Moreover, he attained fellowship of the American Academy of Pediatrics having met the standards and guidelines required of the nation’s leading pediatricians. Honors and awards include the Teacher of the Year Award of Excellence from the residents of family medicine at UTMB (2000-2001), the Department of Pediatrics’ Golden Rattle Award for the Excellence in Clinical Teaching (2005, 2014), the John P. McGovern Academy of Oslerian Medicine Excellence in Clinical Teaching Award (2005, 2010), Distinguished Teaching Professor recognition from the UT Board of Regents (2009),  the Pediatric Educator Award for Excellence in Medical Student Education, Best Doctors in America (2005-present), the Martin Luther King Jr. Service Award for her important contributions in promoting equity with the UTMB community, the Unsung Hero in Health Care Award from the Galveston Branch of NAACP (2009), and Super Doctor Award.
