He is also board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology, whose mission is to act for the benefit of the public by establishing and maintaining standards of certification for urologists, and working with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe, and ethical urologic care.
Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Levine graduated with honors from Binghamton University. After receiving his degree, he studied at SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn where he earned his medical degree and graduated with a distinction in research. Thereafter, from 1992 until 1998, he performed his postgraduate training in urology and general surgery at New York University Medical Center under the direction of Dr. Herbert Lepor.
Recognized nationally and internationally for his extensive research experience, Dr. Levine received an award from the National Research Forum in Galveston, Texas for his work on the treatment of advanced prostate cancer in 1992.
