Back in 2003, Dr. Gault graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Developmental Biology from UC Santa Barbara in 2003. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine in 2012. 

Furthering his training, he performed his residency and his fellowship in surgical pathology, where he served as Chief Surgical Pathology Fellow, at Penn Medicine in 2016 and 2017, respectively.

Remaining up to date in his field, the doctor is board-certified in anatomic & clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology (ABPath). The mission of the ABPath is to promote the health of the public and advance the practice and science of pathology by establishing voluntary certification standards and assessing the qualifications of those seeking to practice the specialty of pathology.
