Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Gerard Roberts, who serves patients in Indiana. 

An award-winning, board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Roberts has served 80,000 children and their families. Being on the front lines of a growing obesity health crisis, he is the Founder of GenUwin Health, Inc. in LaPorte, Indiana.

In addition to this coloring book, there is a free app on Apple IOS that  he created called “U of Chew” which is a fun, interactive way for children to learn healthy choices for a better life. This app is targeted for children 5-11 years of age.

A leading physician in his community for over 20 years, Dr. Roberts can also be found on staff at Franciscan Health Michigan City, a state-of-the-art facility that houses 123 private, inpatient beds, robust outpatient services with cutting-edge diagnostic imaging equipment, as well as the most advanced, life-saving innovations and patient amenities in Michigan City, Indiana. What’s more, he is also one of the founding physicians of HealthTap, which connects people with board-certified doctors via apps, teleconferences, and online question forums. 

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began in 1993 when he earned his medical degree from the College of Medicine at the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio. He then went on to complete his residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. 

Before long, he became board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). Founded in 1933, the ABP is an independent, nonprofit organization whose certification is recognized throughout the world as a credential signifying a high level of physician competence.
