Get to know Periodontist Dr. Peter D. Tsambazis, who serves patients in Jersey City, New Jersey.
An excellent periodontist, Dr. Tsambazis is the Owner of Advanced Dental of Jersey City. He performs all phases of general dentistry as well as periodontics and oral surgery.
The doctor’s advanced training has allowed him to surgically specialize in advanced bone grafting and ridge reconstruction, sinus augmentation, periodontal surgeries and cosmetic crown lengthening and implants while regularly devoting a large amount of time to partial and full mouth reconstruction including Invisalign, all porcelain crowns and bridges, and implant-supported prosthetics, among other general dentistry procedures.
Throughout his academic career, Dr. Tsambazis earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in 1992, and graduated from their Periodontics Specialty Program in 1996. He has a periodontic specialty license UMDNJ issued in 1996. After graduating, he worked in dental offices throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn and New Jersey, from North Bergen to Toms River prior to establishing his private practice.
Continuously advancing his efforts, he is an active member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, the Hudson County Dental Association, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the Northeastern Society of Periodontists, and the American Academy of Periodontists.
Periodontics is the dental specialty focusing exclusively on the inflammatory disease that destroys the gums and other supporting structures around the teeth. A periodontist is a dentist who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease, and in the placement of dental implants.
Happily married, Dr. Tsambazis and his wife, Rachel, have a twelve-year-old daughter, Alexis. In his free time, he enjoys playing his guitars, health and fitness, and traveling to their vacation home in Southwest Florida.
