Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Valerie Kimball, who serves the population of Illinois. Specialty: Primary Care Pediatrics Master’s: University of Colorado Boulder Medical School: University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine Hospital Affiliation: NorthShore University Hospitals, Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, and the Northwestern Memorial Hospital Education: Dr. Kimball completed her Masters in Exercise Physiology from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1993. She then graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine with her Medical Degree in 2001, giving her nearly two decades worth of experience. Experience: She completed her Pediatric Residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Illinois in 2004. Current Position: Dr. Kimball currently practices with the Chicago Area Pediatrics, she is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She currently serves as the President of CCPA, or Children’s Community Physician’s Association, and is a board member of Smart Love Family Services. She is also affiliated with NorthShore University Hospitals, Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, and the Northwestern Memorial Hospital Pediatrics: This is the branch of medicine dealing with the health and medical care of infants, children, and adolescents from birth up to the age of 18. A paediatrician is a child's physician who provides not only medical care for children who are acutely or chronically ill but also preventive health services for healthy children. A paediatrician manages physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the children under their care at every stage of development, in both sickness and health. Personal: Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her three active children, and is an avid runner.
