Dr. Bowen-Wells is a board-certified general surgeon and a fellowship-trained certified surgical oncologist. She is the Medical Director of Wells Surgical Services, LLC in Jacksonville, Florida. 

Incorporating both surgical and non-surgical techniques to obtain the best results, she motivates and encourages patients during treatment.  Some of her patients are usually referred to her after receiving failed treatments and are at the point of giving up. The wounds she treats include diabetic foot ulcers, venous ulcers, chronic and acute, non-healing surgical wounds, hidradenitis suppurativa, calciphylaxis and pressure ulcers/injuries.

Academically, Dr. Bowen-Wells graduated with her medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She then went on to perform her residency in general surgery at the University of Virginia, followed by her fellowship in surgical oncology at the University of Miami. 

Practicing in Florida since 2009, became board certified in wound care and remains one of few such certified practitioners in the Jacksonville region. She is also board-certified in general surgery and is certified in surgical oncology.

Among her professional affiliations, Dr. Bowen-Wells is an active member of the Northeast Florida Medical Society and the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care.
