A southern California native, Dr. Lohiya graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology from UCLA. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 2013. During this time, she developed an interest in surgery and the rehabilitation of patients with oral disease, and participated in several volunteer trips to provide dental and medical healthcare abroad.
Subsequently, she completed her oral & maxillofacial surgery training at the University of Washington in Seattle. During her training, she authored several abstracts, book chapters, and journal articles.
A Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Lohiya has a comprehensive background in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, infections, trauma, orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery, and both benign and malignant pathology.
Recognized for her commitment to teaching and providing excellent patient care, she currently serves as a Clinical Instructor for the UCLA School of Dentistry, Section of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She is also active in local leadership as a voting board member of the Western Los Angeles Dental Society.
