I would not recommend trying that. The anesthesia directly numbs the nerve which will be amputated and cleaned out with the root canal READ MORE

  • Can you get partial dentures for front teeth?

yes. Partial dentures can replace almost any teeth READ MORE

  • Can I brush my Invisalign with toothpaste?

short answer is yes. It may cause light scratches in the plastic which can attract more plaque and stain, but you will be switching to new trays at least every 2 wks. The best thing to do is soak them in a retainer cleaner to remove the debri and then wash them under warm water and brush them with no paste. READ MORE

  • Can I treat gingivitis myself?

Yes. Gingivits is inflammation of the gums from and acute bacterial infection. The bacteria is somewhat superficial and can cause irritation to the gums such as swelling and bleeding. 2 wks of increased hygiene with a focus on daily flossing and antibacterial rinses can improve early infection. If left untreated for long, it can lead to bone loss called periodontitis. This usually needs to be treated by a dental professional. READ MORE

  • What type of denture is supported by implants?

There are a few different options when it comes to implant supported prosthesis. You can have what is called a fixed prosthesis, which means that it has to be unscrew to remove them and it is usually done at the dental office. A fixed prosthesis can be made out of denture acrylic, also known as a hybrid denture (most common) or a full bridge made out of porcelain. The removable type would be called an implant overdenture. It is essentially a full denture that snaps into the implants and can be taken in and out at home. READ MORE

A root canal is not always needed with a crown. On the other hand, If a root canal is needed, a crown is indicated to help protect and reinforce the remaining tooth structure. READ MORE

  • What type of crown lasts the longest?

All crowns should last about 20 years if the patient takes care of their teeth properly and follows recommended maintenance schedules. Gold crowns set the highest standards due to their antibacterial properties. the cavity is essentially breaking down your natural tooth and causing tooth rot. The filling can come loose or break out as the decay softens all the teeth around the filling. • Can I drink water after a deep cleaning?

Yes, please stay hydrated to aid in faster recovery READ MORE

  • Which is better for overbite braces or Invisalign?

I prefer traditional metal braces to fix bite issues. This is because metal braces are working 24/7 to move teeth, where as invisalign is only working around 22 hrs and is subjective to how disciplined the patient is as changing the aligners at home. Metal also moves back teeth more predictably, so in the case of an overbite, you need to be able to pull the lower jaw forward or move the upper teeth back which requires heavy forces to be placed on back teeth.
