Continuing to seek out the latest in advanced techniques to benefit his patients, Dr. Anderson utilizes the latest technology to assure excellent outcomes. This starts with electronic records that help increase accuracy and saves on waste; digital x-rays with three dimensional analysis and digital intraoral photographs help to create a collaborative process of discovery and diagnosis.   Add to that: laser diagnostics for efficient cavity detection; high resolution intraoral imaging to better understand treatment recommendations; and state-of-the-art electronic billing, insurance and patient communication systems. 

Dr. Anderson graduated number one in his class, both academically and clinically, from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. And then, in a search to be able to deliver the most comprehensive care possible, he has studied with national and international leaders and compiled a long list of advanced education. This includes a two-year course of study in Orthodontics,  Dental Orthopedics and TMJ treatment, a one-year program in Esthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry treatment, and advanced studies in Implants, Surgery and Laser Gum Treatment.  

Embarking on the path to dentistry with a background in engineering, Dr. Anderson holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in biomedical engineering. Applying engineering to dentistry enables him to understand the science behind the materials and techniques he uses, as well as to appreciate the importance of strong, healthy teeth and gums, and the benefits a beautiful smile can have.  He frequently says that Dentistry is Oral Engineering.  He has done research on how teeth fracture,,TMJ analysis and treatment, and dental materials.

Dr. Anderson is active in giving back to the educational process.  He has been a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in the Advanced General Dentistry Program. It is a post graduate program for dentists to obtain additional experience and education following dental school. He held the position of Clinic Coordinator and has lectured in areas including orthodontics, full mouth reconstruction, and office management.

In recognition of his achievements, Dr. Anderson was elected to membership in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society, which includes only the top 5% of dentists nationwide. 

Additionally, he is a member of the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry,  the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Mid-America Orthodontic Society.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
