The doctor has clinical expertise and experience in: diagnosing and treating patients of all ages, including pregnant women, newborns, and geriatrics; diagnosing and treating a wide variety of patient problems, including: headaches & migraines, TMJ & jaw pain, neck pain, upper, middle & lower back pain, buttock pain, hip pain, leg pain & sciatica, shoulder & arm pain, joint pains of the elbows, wrists, hands, knees, ankles and feet, abdominal pain, balance issues, vertigo, whiplash, sprains & strains, post-concussion syndrome, vestibular abnormalities, injuries from car accidents, slip & fall injuries, as well as work-related injuries; treating brain injuries, paraplegic and quadriplegic persons; treating pre- and post-operative injuries; providing many chiropractic techniques; utilizing herbal therapy, homeopathy, and nutritional supplements; optimizing the biomechanics of the neuromusculoskeletal system; and using many other therapies to enhance chiropractic adjustment.
On the subject of her academic background, Dr. Gonzales earned her Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic – West in 1992. She then went on to complete the CNS program at Carrick Institute For Graduate Studies in 2008, and to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Hardin-Simmons University in 2010.
In order to better treat injuries, she has had extensive training in functional neurology, rehabilitation, and physiologic therapeutics. She is considered a Chiropractic Rehabilitation Specialist, which is an expert in the comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, management, and rehabilitation of individuals of all ages who present with simple and complex neuromusculoskeletal disorders, impairments, and associated disabilities.
