Recognized as an experienced obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Gjoni has practiced for over 25 years in women’s health. He is currently on staff at Cameron Regional Medical Center in Cameron, Missouri, which he joined in 2002.
Since its 1947 origin, Cameron Regional Medical Center has always taken great pride in improving the quality of life of its patients. With approximately 20 active staff physicians and over 100 consulting staff specialists, the Medical Center offers a comprehensive array of both inpatient and outpatient health care services to residents throughout rural northwest Missouri. In addition to traditional hospital services, Cameron Regional Medical Center also operates 18 satellite clinics in a five-county area, a Home Health Agency, Comfort Care Hospice, and Helping Hand Personal Services.
Back in 1972, Dr. Gjoni earned his medical degree from the School of Medicine, University of Zagreb. Upon relocating to the United States, he went on to serve his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York Medical College, after which he stayed on as an instructor.
A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG) and a Fellow of the Indian College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (FICOG), the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.
