Dr. Gliebus is a board-certified neurologist who currently serves as an Associate Professor and Chair of Neurology at the Drexel Neurosciences Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Drexel Neurosciences Institute, led by Dr. Erol Veznedaroglu, provides the most clinically advanced care for neurological conditions involving the brain and spine. The Institute also invests heavily in active research and clinical trials to find the neuroscience cures and treatments of tomorrow. Dr. Gliebus grew the Department of Neurology, establishing a multiple sclerosis and neuroinflammatory disorder center, expanding the movement disorder and epilepsy divisions, as well as making changes in clinical operations to improve access to care, including the addition of clinical sites outside Center City. He oversaw an increase in collaborations with faculty in other departments within the College of Medicine and across Drexel, as well as established a clinical trials unit to promote clinical-translational neuroscience research. 

Among his other professional accomplishments, Dr. Gliebus is the Director of the Cognitive Disorders Center at Drexel Neurosciences Institute, and Program Director for the Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry Fellowship. 

After earning his medical degree from Vilnius University Faculty of Medicine in Vilnius, Lithuania in 2003, Dr. Gliebus completed his residency in internal medicine at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, followed by his residency in neurology at Drexel University College of Medicine. He also completed his fellowship training in behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry at the Mesulam Center for Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer’s Disease at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 2010. 

As a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Society for Behavioral and Cognitive Neurology, Dr. Gliebus is certified in behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties. He has won several awards throughout his professional career, including the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching by Drexel University College of Medicine in 2015 and the Core Values Award by Chambersburg Hospital in 2012. 

Dr. Gliebus is the editor of the book ‘Progressive Cognitive Impairment and Its Neuropathologic Correlates’, and has more than 60 publications and presentations to his credit.
