Get to know Neurologist Dr. Arun Kachroo, who serves patients in Lumberton and Voorhees, New Jersey.

Specializing in general neurology, neuromuscular disease, and EMG, Dr. Kachroo is affiliated with Neurology Associates of South Jersey, LLC with offices in Lumberton and Voorhees, New Jersey.

An affiliate of Virtua Medical Group, Neurology Associates of South Jersey, LLC consists of a team of professionals who are highly skilled in assessing and treating a full range of neurological disorders. They are respected in the region for stroke care and have unique expertise in epilepsy and memory, vestibular (balance), and neuromuscular disorders.

Professionally, Dr. Kachroo also serves as the Research & Development Director of the Virtua Center for Innovation, whose mission is to create a vibrant innovation ecosystem in order to transform care and advance health information technology to better serve the South Jersey community. 

With a passion for the field and an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high-quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists. He is also a member of the American Academy of Neurology.

A 1994 graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Dr. Kachroo went on to complete an internship in internal medicine at St. Barnabas Medical Center. Wanting to further his training, he completed his residency in neurology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he served as chief resident, followed by his fellowship in neuromuscular disease and electrodiagnostic medicine at the Vermont College of Medicine. 

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient’s mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.

Among his numerous accolades, Dr. Kachroo is the recipient of Compassionate Doctor Award (2017, 2018), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018), On-Time Doctor Award (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018), Patients’ Choice Award (2008, 2009, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018), and Castle Connolly Regional Top Doctors.
