Staring out as a Doctor of Chiropractic for 10 years, work injuries and physical rehabilitation were the main focus of practice. After returning to medical school and completing an unopposed residency at San Jacinto Methodist Family Medicine program, Dr. Tomsic returned to private practice focusing on Family Medicine with a special interest in work injuries, pain management, and addiction. While practicing as a Chiropractor, the focus was all conservative care. While practicing medicine, the addition of pharmaceuticals eventually lead to a full circle realization of his conservative roots. Eventually, the focus of practice became an infusion of both conservative and medical protocols aimed at treating addiction recovery. The clinical practice at Applegate Recovery incorporates the biopsychosocialspiritual model of recovery for addiction. Conditions treated include substance use disorder, alcohol dependence, tobacco dependence, benzodiazepine dependence, opioid and opiate addiction, heroin use, methamphetamine use and treatment of other abusive synthetic drugs or natural plant based products.
