  • Does a crown require a root canal?

No usually not. A root canal treatment is only needed if the nerve inside of the tooth is damaged due to trauma or decay. The majority of teeth that I place crowns or veneers on never require root canal therapy and function perfectly normal. READ MORE

  • What happens if I smoke after getting dental implants?

The leading cause of dental implant (and for that matter natural teeth) failure is smoking. Your risk having a problem with your dental implant or your natural teeth. Yes definitely. I typically see a patient at 1 month, three month 6 month and finally at yearly intervals. Regular evaluation and maintenance is that best way to keep your gums and supporting jaw bone healthy. Dentures on average should be relined every 3-5 years and remade every 5-7 year for optimum function READ MORE

  • The crown over my molar cracked. What should I do?

I am so sorry that you are in pain. Unfortunately the stuff that you can get at a pharmacy will not really help for broken crowns. It is different for everyone. It is dependent on many factors. Some patient factors include your age, oral hygiene, diet, genetics.
