Get to know Perinatologist Dr. Aaron J Epstein, owner of Advanced Perinatology, which serves patients in multiple locations in Southern California.
Dr. Epstein is board certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist and Maternal-Fetal Medicine sub-specialist who has been practicing in the Los Angeles area for more than 10 years.
He is a former full time University of Southern California Assistant Professor in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine where he spent his time teaching obstetrical and gynecological residents as well as Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellows at Los Angeles County – USC Hospital. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he participated in a Maternal-Fetal Medicine practice with multiple locations throughout Los Angeles County.
In January of 2020, Dr. Epstein left academic medicine to form his own private practice eventually named Advanced Perinatology. His first office was built in Pasadena, California adjacent to Huntington Hospital. About a year later expandedvhis practice hiring multiple veteran Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists and opened new offices in Burbank, Downtown Los Angeles, and Lancaster CA over the next two years. Most recently the group has been awarded contracts to provide 24/7 Perinatology coverage for Huntington Hospital, Pasadena; Good Samaritan Hospital, Downtown Los Angeles; and White Memorial Hospital, Downtown Los Angeles.
In regards to his educational background, Dr. Epstein graduated with his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in 2005. He then went on to perform his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Southern California/LAC+USC Medical Center, followed by his fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center.
Successful in his field, the doctor is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and in maternal-fetal medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.
On a professional level, Dr. Epstein is an active member of the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine.
