A Renowned Expert in Pediatric Dentistry, Maxillofacial Prosthodontics, and Esthetic Dentistry

Dr. Havva Zeynep Ertugrul, a board certified pediatric dentist with a stellar career spanning over thirty years, is making a significant impact in the field of dentistry at the Community-University Health Care Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Dr. Ertugrul’s dedication to improving lives through preventive oral care, particularly in children and pregnant women, has earned her a reputation as a trusted authority in the dental community. Her extensive knowledge and expertise in pediatric dentistry are reflected in her role as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Developmental and Surgical Sciences, Division of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Minnesota.

With a rich academic background, Dr. Ertugrul received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey, before pursuing advanced studies in prosthodontics and obtaining a Ph.D. at the said institution. After relocating to the United States, she pursued a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry Degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. There, she also participated in the Prosthodontic Residency Program for advanced training. 

Dr. Ertugrul continued her education with Advanced Hospital Dentistry training at the Clinical Center for Maxillofacial Prosthetic Rehabilitation, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and Montefiore Hospital. She concluded her extensive education with a Master of Science Degree in Pediatric Dentistry and a residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.

As a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Dr. Ertugrul maintains the highest standards of excellence in her practice. She is an active member of prestigious dental organizations such as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Minnesota Dental Association.

Dr. Ertugrul’s outstanding contributions to the field have been acknowledged with awards such as the Northwestern Society of Periodontics Achievement Award in 2008 and her inclusion in MPLS St Paul Magazine's Top Dentist Edition for four consecutive years (2021-2024).

Beyond her professional achievements, she finds fulfillment in outdoor activities like skiing and hiking, practicing yoga, as well as contributing to non-profit animal rescue organizations like Wags & Whiskers. Her fluency in English and Turkish enables her to connect with a diverse range of patients and colleagues.
