Furthering his training, he performed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Tennessee at Memphis. He then pursued fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology at the University of Tennessee at Memphis in 1995 and 1996, respectively.
With years of experience, Dr. Wolford is board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Board-certified through the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, he is a member of the Tennessee Medical Association, the American College of Cardiology (Fellow), and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
