Originally from Nigeria, he received his medical degree from the University of Lagos and completed his residency in anatomic pathology at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital. He continued his residency training at the University of London/Royal London Hospital in the United Kingdom, before relocating to the United States, where he completed his pathology residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Subsequently, Dr. Habeebu completed his fellowship in molecular genetic pathology at the Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital, and completed his fellowship in pediatric pathology at Children’s Mercy Kansas City.

With an unwavering commitment to his profession, the doctor is board-certified in anatomic & clinical pathology, and molecular genetic pathology by the American Board of Pathology (ABPath). The mission of the ABPath is to promote the health of the public and advance the practice and science of pathology by establishing voluntary certification standards and assessing the qualifications of those seeking to practice the specialty of pathology.
