An exceptional hospitalist, Dr. Tomich is the Owner and Co-Founder of Alliance Hospitalists. He is also the Hospitalist Medical Director and Chief of Medicine at Chandler Regional Medical Center, and Hospitalist Medical Director at Arizona Specialty Hospital.
Alliance Hospitalists comprises 40 doctors at five hospitals in Arizona, including the Chandler Regional Medical Center, Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, Dignity Health Arizona General Hospital, Arizona Specialty Hospital and Oasis Orthopedic and Spine Hospital. It is also contracted at Dignity Health Rehabilitation Hospital, Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital and many other skilled nursing facilities.
Holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Medicine from Penn State University, Dr. Tomich graduated with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then went on to complete his internship and residency in internal medicine at the same educational venue.
Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in internal medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM). The AOBIM is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease in adults.
Hospital medicine is a medical specialty that exists in some countries as a branch of internal or family medicine, dealing with the care of acutely ill hospitalized patients. Physicians whose primary professional focus is caring for hospitalized patients only while they are in the hospital are called hospitalists.
