What is an retroverted uterus?
A retroverted uterus just means it curves backward towards you spine. This is very common and does NOT cause infertility. About a third of women have this. The only thing this may cause is more back pain during your periods. Your doctor was obviously not a gynecologist. READ MORE
What can I do to improve my chances of getting pregnant?
If you are having regular periods and are otherwise healthy, I would give this a few more months. You may want to buy ovulation predictor kits (any drug store has these) so you know when your fertility is highest. READ MORE
Why do my periods last for such a long time?

Will taking birth control for an extended period of time effect my chances of getting pregnant when the time is right?
Hundreds of studies have been done on the long term affects of birth control, and there is no affect on fertility. However, some women start birth control BECAUSE their periods are so irregular, and these women tend to have more infertility.
