Get to know Psychiatrist Dr. Al R. Doyle, who serves patients in Moline, Illinois.

A well-respected psychiatrist, Dr. Doyle is the Medical Director of River Bend Christian Counseling in Moline, Illinois.

Locally, he is affiliated with Genesis Medical Center-Aledo and UnityPoint Health-Trinity Rock Island.

A 1993 graduate of Rush Medical College, Dr. Doyle went on to perform his residency in psychiatry at Loyola University Medical Center in 1997. He also received a Certificate in Psychotherapy from Gestalt Chicago in 1999.

With over three decades of experience, he is board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.

Furthermore, he is board-certified in addiction medicine by the American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM). The ABAM provides assurance to the American public that addiction medicine physicians have the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and treat addiction.

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. These include various maladaptations related to mood, behavior, cognition, and perceptions. Psychiatrists evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. They conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, prescribe medication, and evaluate treatment results.

An expert in his field, Dr. Doyle has been the recipient of Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2015) and Patients’ Choice Award (2016, 2015).
