Born and raised in Taiwan, Dr. Hsu immigrated to the United States when he was 14. After graduating from San Marino High School, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. He then went on to receive his medical degree and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees from Creighton University. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at Loyola University Medical Center. He also received his Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from University of Illinois at Chicago.
After completing his residency, he practiced at Eisenhower Medical Center. He then moved to Omaha, Nebraska to help build and develop a brand new cancer center there and practiced as the head of radiation oncology. He recently returned to California to help develop the AHMC International Cancer Center.
Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in radiation oncology through the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.
