Dear Patient: Anal fissures and anal fistula are 2 different things. For what you mentioned, it sounds like a fistula. Bactrim (Sul/TMP) are not made to cover colonic flora, therefore, I doubt will help you; in fact, unless there is an abscess, rarely one can use Ab for this reason. Dear Patient: Gallstones can be dissolved, but just in a few cases; most of the time, when the symptoms starts, the only way to fix it is surgery. The medication used to do it is mainly ineffective; this reflects the amount of surgery done for GB issues in the USA. The smaller the stones are, the greater the symptoms will be. Does sex after surgery carry any risks?
Dear Patient: There are missing pieces of information: size of hernia, location, mesh or no mesh, age of the patient, and obviously when doing sex (there is a variety of intensity). In general terms, sexual activity should not be contra indicated after surgery, as long as you practice it safely, after surgery.
