Stamford Health Medical Group is a physician-led, professionally managed and quality-driven multi-specialty practice with more than 30 offices in lower Fairfield County. Part of Stamford Health, the practice includes more than 120 physicians in 17 medical and surgical specialties and nearly 400 non-clinical staff, all committed to patient-centered care.

Prior to joining Stamford Health Medical Group in January of 2015, Dr. Williams was a part of a different practice in Stamford and also served as a faculty member of family medicine. When she is not seeing patients in the office, she is busy seeing patients at Edgehill Nursing Home in Stamford, where she serves as the Associate Medical Director. In addition, she is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Quinnipiac College, where she teaches medical students. 

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Williams received her undergraduate degrees in anatomy and anthropology and completed her residency in family medicine in the United Kingdom. She earned her medical degree from University College London. She was a partner in a practice for some years before moving to the United States when her husband was transferred. She then completed another residency program in family medicine while serving as Chief Resident at Stamford Hospital. Along with her exceptional leadership background and strategic vision in medicine, she holds a law degree from the University of London. 

The doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties. 

Family medicine, formerly family practice, is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family practitioner or family doctor. They are expected to treat a wide range of medical conditions, develop long-term, personal relationships with their patients, produce individualized healthcare programs based on patient historical data, and offer continuous support and health management advice.
