Dr Persons performed hammertoe surgery on my left second toe. He claimed it was Morton’s neuroma and cut the nerve. My third toe splayed from the second toe and he then claimed he did not like doing foot surgery. He was so sure on the first visit and when it didn’t turn out so good, he gave this disclaimer. My toe still remains swollen after many years and other podiatrists do not recommend any further surgery.
