Get to know Internist & Radiologist Dr. Paul Lizotte, who serves patients in Temecula, California.

Dr. Lizotte is a board-certified internist & radiologist with over 25 years of experience. He is affiliated with Graybill Medical Group in Temecula, California. Graybill Medical Group has been helping North County families achieve optimal health and wellness for more than 80 years. What started as a small family practice in Escondido in 1932 has grown into the region’s largest independent multi-specialty medical group with more than 80 caring and compassionate physicians and advanced practitioners in several areas throughout California. 

Dr. Lizotte is also affiliated with Sharp Community Medical Group in San Diego, California. In addition to his training in internal medicine, Dr. Lizotte also has extensive training as a radiologist. He has conducted research on radiology, as well as has lectured and authored numerous scientific papers in the field.

Dr. Lizotte is recognized for his expertise in internal medicine, radiology, geriatric care, and women’s health. He is passionate about enhancing his patients’ quality of life and providing the best outcomes possible. Dr. Lizotte is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. The American College of Physicians is the largest society of internists in the world.

Dr. Lizotte earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Ohio in 1989. He then went on to complete his internship and residency in internal medicine at the California Presbyterian Medical Center in San Francisco, serving as chief resident in 1992. Dr. Lizotte has served as a Major in the United States Army Reserve. Dr. Lizotte is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Nuclear Medicine, and the American Board of Radiology.

In 2007, Dr. Lizotte was named a top physician in Orange County California by the Orange County Medical Association. He was appointed to the Radiologic Health Branch of the California Department of Health Services by then-Governor Gray Davis.

Internal medicine or general medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being. 

Radiology is a medical specialty that uses medical imaging to diagnose and treat diseases within the bodies of both humans and animals. A radiologist is a medical doctor who is trained in executing and interpreting medical images such as X-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds, and MRIs and using them to treat health problems in patients.
