Raymond L. Singer, MD, MMM, CPE, FACS, FACC, FCCP is the Chief of Cardiac Surgery at Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital. He joined the medical staff at Einstein Healthcare Network in March 2019. Previously, Dr. Singer was the Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) and served on their medical staff from 1992 to 2019. Dr. Singer currently serves on the Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital’s Cardiovascular Quality Committee, Operating Room Committee, and Professionalism Committee. He is a Clinical Professor of Surgery for Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.

Dr. Singer is a graduate of Muhlenberg College and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery Residency and Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Singer is certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He achieved a Master of Medical Management (MMM) at the H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Singer also achieved a Certified Physician Executive (CPE) certificate by the Certifying Commission in Medical Management of the America College of Physician Executives. He is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Dr. Singer is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Thoracic Surgery, the American College of Cardiology, and the American College of Chest Physicians. He is a Past-President of the Pennsylvania Association for Thoracic Surgery and Past-President of the Lehigh County Medical Society. Dr. Singer has served as a member of the Muhlenberg College, President’s Advisory Council and on the Muhlenberg College’s Board of Trustees. Dr. Singer has served on the Board of Trustees of Congregation Keneseth Israel in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Dr. Singer serves on the Editorial Board for American Health and Drug Benefits. Dr. Singer serves on the Executive Council for the Philadelphia American Heart Association and American Stroke Association, Philadelphia Heart Walk.
