Get to know Anesthesiologist Dr. Michael Magee, who serves patients in Nashua, New Hampshire

Well-versed in the field of anesthesiology, Dr. Magee ensures the safety of the patients who are about to undergo surgery. Licensed to practice medicine in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, he is in practice with Nashua Anesthesia Partners.

Nashua Anesthesia Partners is the exclusive anesthesia provider to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, an affiliate of Southern New Hampshire Health. It provides services to three ambulatory surgery centers in the state and one in Massachusetts.

Academically, Dr. Magee earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1990. This was followed by a residency in anesthesiology at Baystate Medical Center – Tufts University School of Medicine, Western Campus in 1994.

With over 20 years of experience in his field, he is board-certified in anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). As the certifying body for anesthesiologists since 1938, the ABA is committed to partnering with physicians to advance lifelong learning and exceptional patient care. Its mission is to advance the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology. 

In his professional experience, Dr. Magee is affiliated with several other medical venues, including Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.

Anesthesiology is the medical specialty concerned with the total perioperative care of patients before, during, and after surgery. It encompasses anesthesia, intensive care medicine, critical emergency medicine, and pain medicine. Anesthesiologists have the primary responsibility of monitoring the patient’s vital signs during surgery. In addition to basic measurements such as pulse, blood pressure, and temperature, they measure the patient’s respiration.
