  • Why would a bowel movement be green?

    It typically means that the stool is passing so quickly through the small bowel that the bile secreted by the liver into the small bowel to digest fats is not getting reabsorbed before passing into the large bowel. It is yellow-green and can make the stool green. Usually occurs with diarrhea. READ MORE

  • Loose stools and diarrhea?

    The only med which can cause diarrhea is lecothyroxine if taking too much. Your level should be checked if not done recently. Viruses don’t cause diarrhea for this long. Would typically check stool studies next. If negative, would see a gastroenterologist. READ MORE

  • Gastrointestinal problem?

    This is not specific for one thing. I don’t know what a biliary vesicle surgery is. Perhaps it means you had you gallbladder removed. Would make sure it is not your heart first. Gallbladder problems can cause this. Also could have a large hiatal hernia with a volvulus. This means the stomach may be twisting in your chest. Would see a gastroenterologist READ MORE

  • Is drinking milk good for gastritis?

    This typically will have a minimal effect. Meds that decrease acidity do amuch better job. Often it is caused by a bacteria which can be cleared with a combination of antibiotics READ MORE

  • Can drinking too much water cause gastritis?

  • One 40mg esomeprazole magnesium dose vs. 2 20mg doses?

    Difficult to answer this without knowing the results of an endoscopy. If having problems mainly at night, would take one 40mg dose 1/2 hr before supper. This will coveR him through the night. This commonly occurs in those with a hiatal hernia or just a poor pinch at the lower esophageal sphincter If he has problems day and night would take 20mg 1/2 hr before breakfast and 1/2 hr before supper.
