In regards to his educational background, Dr. Korch graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown in 1984. He then went on to earn his Master of Arts degree in Zoology from Southern Illinois University in 1987, and his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1991.
Advancing his efforts in the field of dentistry, he is a member of the Pennsylvania Dental Association (Speaker Emeritus 2016), the American Dental Association, and the American Institute of Parliamentarians.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, treat gum disease, repair decayed teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
Among his volunteer efforts, Dr. Korch serves as a clinician at MOM-n-PA, providing direct dental care to needy individuals. He is also a clinician at Donated Dental Services, a program that provides comprehensive dental care to eligible seniors and adults with disabilities.
As voted by patients, Dr. Korch is the recipient of a Patients’ Choice Award (2018, 2017).
