A specialist in the field of oncology, Dr. Nazha is the Founder of Nazha Cancer Center. Having been in private practice since 1987, he is dedicated and compassionate in the care of his patients.
Treating and managing many different types of cancer, Nazha Cancer Center is the premier cancer treatment center in Southern New Jersey’s shore area. Striving to provide the best quality of care in the region, it has 3 convenient locations in Atlantic County, New Jersey (two offices in Northfield and one in Galloway).
Educated in Syria, Dr. Nazha graduated with his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine of Damascus University in 1979. He then relocated to the United States, performing his residency in internal medicine at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. From there, he went on to perform his fellowship in hematology and oncology at UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center.
Continuously remaining up to date in his field, the doctor is board-certified in medical oncology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Among his professional affiliations, he is an active member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Society of New Jersey, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American College of Physicians.
Throughout his career, Dr. Nazha has served as Chief Attending Physician in the Department of Medicine, Director of the Division of Medical Hematology and Oncology, and Director of Hospice at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.
Currently, he is an attending physician at Shore Medical Center, and a consulting physician at AttenBacharach Institute for Rehabilitation.
