Get to know Radiologist Dr. Claudia C. Bundschu, who serves patients in Saint Petersburg, Florida.

A Florida-based radiologist, Dr. Bundschu is affiliated with Radiology Associates of St. Petersburg. Additionally, she is the Medical Director for the St. Anthony’s Breast Center.

Radiology Associates of St. Petersburg (RASP) has provided professional radiology services to Saint Anthony’s Hospital for over 50 years. Their board-certified Radiologists graduated from many prestigious medical schools and have trained at top academic medical centers for residency and fellowship programs. They offer comprehensive interventional and diagnostic radiology services with subspecialty expertise.

Back in the early days of her academic career, Dr. Bundschu graduated with her medical degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande de Sul in Brazil. After relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in anatomic pathology at the University of Miami, her internship at St. Joseph Hospital, Ann Arbor, followed by a residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Finally, she completed her fellowship in breast & body imaging at the same educational venue.

With an unwavering commitment to her specialty, the doctor is board-certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.

An expert in her field, Dr. Bundschu has received the St. Anthony’s Hospital Franciscan Physician ward in 2019.  “This award recognizes physicians who exemplify the qualities of compassion, acceptance, respect and dignity within their practice”.
