Get to know Radiologist Dr. Robert E. Wold, who serves patients throughout the State of New Jersey.

An experienced radiologist, Dr. Wold is the Medical Director of Little Silver Mammography and HerSpace® and Holmdel Imaging, and serves as Vice Chair of the Department of Radiology at Riverview Medical Center.

The physicians at Little Silver Mammography and HerSpace® are committed to their mission of providing advanced breast imaging services of the highest quality in a setting dedicated to medical excellence and the provision of outstanding patient care and service. Their breast imaging experts specialize in both screening and diagnostic imaging including 3D mammography, breast ultrasound (automated and hand held) and breast MRI. They also provide breast interventional procedures such as stereotactic, and ultrasound-guided biopsy.

Holmdel Imaging has been servicing the community since 2004. Their team is committed to providing an elevated experience to the referring providers and patients who trust us with their care. Their primary mission is to offer affordable medical imaging without compromising expertise or a compassionate experience.

Originally from Marlboro, New Jersey, Dr. Wold graduated from the University of Virginia in 1982, and earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry/Rutgers Medical School in 1986. He then went on to complete his residency in radiology and his fellowship in body imaging at the New York Medical College.

As a testament of his continued education, the doctor is board-certified in diagnostic radiology and breast imaging by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.

In his professional experience, he began his career at Riverview Medical Center as an associate of Red Bank Radiologists in June 1992. He served as the President of Red Bank Radiologists (RBR) from 2003 until 2015, and was Chairman of the Department of Radiology from 2003 until 2014.

Radiology refers to the field of medicine that uses non-invasive imaging scans to diagnose a patient. A radiologist is a physician who uses imaging methodologies to diagnose and manage patients and provide therapeutic options.
