Get to know Occupational Medicine Specialist Dr. William Pawluk, who serves patients in Timonium, Maryland.

As a holistic physician, with over 40 years of practice experience, Dr. Pawluk bases his success on patients’ long-term good health. He believes in personalized care based on patients’ health concerns and their desire to get an alternative, holistic approach to meet health goals. 

At his private practice in Timonium, Maryland, he offers the following services: primary care (on a limited basis); hormone balancing – adrenals, thyroid, females, males; food allergies; chronic pain; arthritis, back pain, and headaches; fatigue evaluations; preventive health care; and nutrition and supplement counseling. He also offers IV therapies for fatigue, Lyme disease, neurological problems, viral infections, cancer, and many other conditions.

Educated in Canada, Dr. Pawluk went to medical school at the University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine, finished his Master’s degree at McMaster University in Ontario, and was on faculty for many years at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. 

While he was a board-certified family physician for most of his career, with numerous academic medical faculty appointments, he chose to concentrate his practice on holistic or functional medicine. Now, his mission is to provide personalized, high-quality care on an as-needed or preventative basis.  

As one of America’s leading magnetic field (PEMF) therapy experts, Dr. Pawluk has spent the past 25 years researching and recommending this revolutionary technology to thousands of people, patients, athletes, and other clinicians. He is an author of one of the first books reviewing electromagnetic healing research and has been featured on the Dr. Oz Show, among numerous other radio, TV, and magazine interviews.

“My goal remains to emphasize that there is very good science to support the use of PEMFs across a wide spectrum of health conditions and physiologic functions. In order to be able to help the most people, I worked diligently to keep up-to-date and be the most informed on what research has been done and what works best. That is my promise to you. Occupational medicine is the branch of medicine concerned with the maintenance of health in the workplace, including prevention and treatment of diseases and injuries, with secondary objectives of maintaining and increasing productivity and social adjustment in the workplace. Occupational medicine specialists work to ensure that the highest standards of occupational health and safety are achieved and maintained in the workplace.

An authority in his field, Dr. Pawluk received the ACIM Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019 for his work in advancing Magnetic Field Therapy and was a featured expert on the “Proven: Healing Breakthroughs Backed By Science Documentary Series.
