  • How to fix bad posture?

You can get a very simple posture correction brace for around $20. The work well to remind you to keep straight which will strengthen your upper back muscles too. Also you can do pectoral stretches. The back muscles over power the smaller upper back muscles and when you stretch them you will naturally straighten a little. Thanks, John C. Lemke DC ME READ MORE

  • Is there a treatment for degenerative disc disease?

Traction. Most chiropractic clinics can treat degenerative disc disease. Have a great day! READ MORE

  • Why does my back crack so much during an adjustment?

When you are getting adjusted, you will hear a popping sound. That is simply the same noise you hear when you crack your knuckles. The sound itself DOES NOT signify that the adjustment was “good.” Proper chiropractic adjustments are a result of proper line of drive and direction of the fixated structures at issue. The sound is associated with it and most people think the adjustment wasn’t effective if they don’t hear that sound. This is false. However, when you get adjusted, you may get a slight euphoric feeling at first, which is the release of endorphins and enkephalins into your bloodstream. You also can be followed by soreness later that day if it’s not a regular occurrence for you. READ MORE

  • Back exercises after adjustments?

Without examining you it would be hard to answer. But you could ask your chiropractor if you would benefit from core strengthening exercises like Superman or using a foam roller. READ MORE

  • Can a chiropractor help me with my lower back pain?

The blanket answer for this would be absolutely yes. Even the American medical Association recommends to it’s medical doctors that they should refer their patients to chiropractors for neck and low back pain. However with out actually examining you I could not tell you for sure nor could any other doctor. Generally low back pain has great results from chiropractic care. Although even with low back pain I do have some patients that get very little relief. READ MORE

  • What is the lump that I can feel right behind my neck?

Without actually seeing you I can’t tell you for sure. But what you’re describing sounds like normal anatomical structure. Generally C7 or T1 protrudes right at shoulder level. You have seven cervical vertebra labeled C1 through C7 and 12 thoracic labeled T-1 through T 12. READ MORE

  • Can an X-ray diagnose a spinal deformity?

Absolutely. That is what a chiropractor does every day. Find a chiropractor with a good reputation that you are comfortable with and have them check you out for any issues. READ MORE

There are a variety of issues that would give you ankle pain. Your bodys alignment could be one of them. Ankle pain can be caused from the ankle joint not working correctly or possibly the knee or your hip they all work together so it’s best to have it checked out. However there’s many other issues too. • My back hurts when I sit down. Why?

This sounds like classic nerve root irritation, most likely in the lumbar spine. You should find a chiropractor you feel comfortable with and have it checked out. Good luck! READ MORE

  • Will a chiropractor be able to help me with my hip pain in the 5 month of my pregnancy?

More than likely yes, if you’re going to someone competent. Just like all professions, there are some much better than others. But low back pain, hip pain, with pregnancy is common and I treat it successfully often. READ MORE

  • Can a chiropractor help me with a pain in the back of my thigh?

Possibly. Your question is too vague for me to know for sure. But the long muscles of the upper thigh and lower extremities definitely work with your pelvic bones. Therefore chiropractic may help you quite a bit. As with all of my answers if you find a competent chiropractor you will have much more success. READ MORE

  • Can a chiropractor help my son with his posture?

A chiropractor most definitely would help your son with posture issues. Find a chiropractor in your area with a good reputation and he should be able to address the issues fairly easy with adjustments and at home stretches. Following those instructions is very important because with your son only being seven years old his growth plates are open until he’s roughly 18 so he has plenty of time to help change many issues. READ MORE

More than likely, gout is an issue with your diet and you will need medicine to help you with it. READ MORE

Hey person at any age can have a rib out which can be very painful and make taking a deep breath difficult and painful as well. Simply saying and older person is more common to have a rib issue is not accurate. There are many variables that would affect his bone density, general health and activity level are some of them. I would find a well respected chiropractor in your area and have it checked out. READ MORE

  • I am suffering from neck and shoulder pain since I was a child. What should I do?

Chiropractic tends to be the most conservative approach to back and neck pain. I would find a chiropractor you are comfortable with and have them check everything out. More than likely they will need to take some X-rays to see how your spine is aligned. Even the American Medical Association recommends to its medical doctors to send their patients to chiropractors for back and neck pain first. READ MORE

  • How is a chiropractor different from a physical therapist?

Chiropractors will address joint mobility issues and identify potential muscle issues. Frozen shoulder generally will resolve by itself in 18 months. That is if it’s truly frozen shoulder. You can have it worked through with physical therapy or by your chiropractor. Again it’s generally self-limiting but you need to be actively trying to work through your own range of motions READ MORE
