Dr. Ripu Hundal is a well-known Endocrinologist, who specializes in diagnosing, and treating diseases related to hormonal deficiency and imbalance in the Endocrine system. In 1987, Dr. Hundal obtained his medical degree from Government Medical College in Amritsar, India. Upon relocating to the United States, he went on to complete his internship and residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, in 1994 and 1996, respectively. This was followed by Endocrine fellowship at Yale-New Haven Hospital, Connecticut in 1999. He stayed on at Yale University for two more years before finally moving to Delaware in 2001.
He is currently board-certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Nominated for Top Doctors in Delaware and Greater Philadelphia Area numerous times, Dr. Hundal is a member of the American Diabetes Association, the Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (former Board member of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter), and the Medical Society of Delaware. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE).
