Educated in Peru, Dr. Inga graduated with his medical degree from Facultad de Medicina Alberto Hurtado, Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in 1970. He then relocated to the United States, serving his internships at Edgewater Hospital and Cook County Hospital in 1971 and 1973, respectively. He followed this up with residencies in neurological surgery at Baylor College of Medicine and Hahnemann University Hospital in 1974 and 1978, respectively. 

A Fellow of the American Academy of Neurological Surgeons (FAANS) and a member of the Tampa Bay Latin American Medical Society and the Florida Neurosurgical Society, he is board-certified through the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS). The broad aim of the ABNS is to encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards, and advance the science of neurological surgery and thereby serve the cause of public health.

In honor of his clinical expertise, Dr. Inga has been the recipient of Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2018, 2015, 2014) and Patients’ Choice Award (2018, 2014).
