Founded in 1811, McLean Hospital is a leader in psychiatric care, research, and education and is the largest psychiatric teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. Its staff, faculty, volunteers, and supporters are dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. 

Educated in Europe, Dr. Phillips graduated with her medical degree from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Medicine in 1991. She then relocated to the United States, performing her residency in psychiatry and her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Tulane University School of Medicine in 2002 and 2003, respectively.

With over three decades of experience, she is board-certified in child and adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. These include various maladaptations related to mood, behavior, cognition, and perceptions.
